Sidus CEO Inducted into the Legends Circle

Annapolis, MD (June, 2009) - Sidus Group CEO, Mark L. Powell was the recipient of the Chesapeake Regional Tech Council’s Legends Circle Award at last night’s 4th Annual Tech Awards event. The award recognizes the individual who is seen as a stalwart and supporter of the regional tech community.

“We were thrilled to recognize not only Mark’s contribution to the growth and success of the Chesapeake Regional Tech Council but also his passion, tireless commitment and ongoing leadership throughout the regional business community,” said CRTC Executive Director, Kris Valerio.

A 12-member selection committee chose award winners, after a rigorous two-month nomination and blind selection process. Powell joins past recipients: ARINC CEO, John Belcher; former President and CEO of the Anne Arundel County Economic Development Corporation, Bill Badger; and National Security Agency Director of State and Local Government Relations and Community Partnerships, Kay Hill.

“I’m deeply honored by this award and I’m proud to stand among such a prestigious list of past honorees,” said Powell. Nearly 300 tech companies and leaders attended the ceremony held at the Westin Annapolis.
